The WCTS employees are proud to support the Military Mama Network. One of the ways that WCTS employees show their support is by wearing red on Friday’s to generate awareness that service members are still being deployed around the world.

The Military Mama Network (MMN) supports troops, veterans, and their families. The group was founded by five people in June 2013, and four years later they have over 16,000 members and are growing daily. As a part of their main mission, they have sent out thousands of packages and over 10,000 cards to deployed service members. The packages include such items as playing cards, games, water flavor packets, candy, snacks, protein bars, toiletry items, a scarf and so much more. “If you have been deployed, you know the joy of receiving a care package from home,” said Mike Miller, WCTS employee.

The MMN supports several additional missions throughout the year. The Holiday Train includes efforts to send packages and cards on Easter, 4th of July and Thanksgiving. But when it comes to Christmas this is an all-hands-on-deck six-week project. The goal is to remind the service member that they are not forgotten by the folks back at home.

Mike Miller introduced WCTS to the MMN organization. Mike and his wife Kim have been actively involved with this organization for over three years.  Through the years Mike and Kim have not just adopted one person, but on several occasions, have adopted an entire unit. They have made some incredible bonds of friendships through the years and continue to exchange emails with several service members that received their care packages.
