What is risk? Risk can be defined as the potential that a chosen action or activity (including inaction) will result in loss or another undesirable outcome. Any form of human endeavour carries some risk, but some more so than others. Much of the world today is unstable politically, financially, and socially; globally and regionally, there is strife, criminality, and even armed conflict. The rule of law and effective government is wont.

Companies and organizations operating in such potentially hazardous or even hostile environments must be able to manage the risks associated. Where there is potential for damage and harm to company personnel, facilities, operational effectiveness and business reputation, there is risk that must be mitigated.

In the event of a materialized risk, companies must be equipped with an effective counter-threat solution. How will your organization manage the incident through to timely resolution? The answer to that question is often referred to as ‘Crisis Management’.

Worldwide Counter Threat Solutions (WCTS) offers consulting and training services related to Risk and Crisis Management. With improved skills and knowledge, you’ll better be able to operate effectively in hazardous environments.
